As a third-generation dentist, Dr. Shawn Matian has spent nearly two decades redefining what modern dentistry can be. Now at Agoura Hills Dental Designs, he brings his blend of artistry, precision, and technology-driven care to the community — creating smiles that look beautiful, function naturally, and last for years to come.
A graduate of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, Dr. Matian's foundation in biomimetic and biocompatible dentistry shapes every aspect of his approach. He was one of the early pioneers of offering metal-free zirconia dental implants to the Southern California market — believing that great dentistry should conserve what nature created while leveraging the best of modern science.
From full-mouth rehabilitation and dental implants to cosmetic enhancements and digital smile design, Dr. Matian's work reflects a deep respect for both detail and design. He is known for his meticulous craftsmanship, calm chairside manner, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Beyond the clinical realm, Dr. Matian is a mentor, entrepreneur, and lifelong student of innovation. Outside of dentistry, he finds balance in weight training, travel, and time with family.
